Im looking to rehome my 1 year old white bellied caique plus his cage, toys, food, playstand and a care book for parrots.

Currently he is in a large macaw cage and he must go with his cage as it would not be fair to put him in a smaller cage. I am looking to rehome him because he is very scared of my two young children (2.5 years and 1 year). He will no longer come out of his cage while the children are awake and this is not fair to him. He has no behavioral issues and is a very sweet and loving bird. He gives kisses and loves to play and swing around on your hand and lay on his back and be tickled.

He has been vet checked and is healthy and I have paperwork to prove this. Vet check was in December 2008.

We have tried working with the store that we bought him from and unfortunately they were unable to help us out, and became rather insulting to us about needing additional help with him.

Please only serious inquires. Ultimately he decides his new owners. For those looking a parrot of this size requires a lot of daily attention (several hours a day) between cleaning cage, food, water and giving him play time and handeling.
