This Television is not in working order! Please read below though for an outstanding deal!!


Im selling this Philips 42 LCD TV, model 42PFL7422D/37, I am currently asking 400.00, but I am willing to take reasonable offers. I purchased this TV brand new January 2008 for $1150. One location knew exactly what the problem was once I started explaining and said it could be fixed for 250.00!


It has a broken backlight or a broken module on the board. I have talked with several local companies and explained the situation and gave a brief overview of the problem. I have been told by 2 of those companies that this is a common problem and that they have seen this before. Then best estimate (which they told me it is only a GUESS) would be $250-$300 to get the TV back up and running. I would be more then glad to pass the name and numbers for those 2 companies so at least you have a couple options. The sound works and the power light comes on, but the screen itself is pitch black. If you shine a light up against it, you can see a very faint picture which indicates the panel itself works.


Again, I am not promising the repair costs. I am only going by estimates received.


So, if you are an electronic tech and feel you could fix this yourself this could be a great deal since the cost of the parts are reasonable. I just dont know how to do this myself.
